Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Counseling
At Heart of Ohio Family Health, our team recognizes the importance of mental health. Our Behavioral Health team takes a close and considerate look at symptoms of mental health disorders. If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, drug or alcohol abuse, and/or any other disorders, we have trained counselors, therapists, and nurse practitioners here to empathize and help.

Finding Help
During the initial psychiatry appointment, the physician will discuss potential medications and options for the patient. Our patients’ mental health is essential to us and medication might be helpful to alleviate any emotional or mental stress. Our psychotherapy services involve a private conversation between the patient and therapist discussing topics that may affect the patient’s mental well-being. Follow-up counseling sessions may be needed with our counselors. If an in-person appointment is not an option for you or a loved one, we provide telehealth services.

We also provide substance use disorder counseling, which may entail behavioral and lifestyle changes to help maintain abstinence from dangerous substances by promoting skills for self-recovery. Our Behavioral Health and Substance Use Team is here to guide you or a loved one throughout the process of recovery.
