Testing is recommended for people with risk factors for Hepatitis C infection and once-in-a-lifetime testing for people 18-79 years old.

It is a prevention strategy, through daily medication, for people at risk of getting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Taking PrEP daily is highly effective for preventing HIV to reduce the chances of getting HIV.
